LED Optics:
Optics allow you to control your illumination pattern, either diffusing it or focusing it as your application requires. Secondary LED Optics provide a standard LED with collimation for spot, medium, wide and elliptical illumination patterns.
- Most optics are cone shaped and need an optic holder to hold the lens in place over the LED.
- The lens itself clips securely into the holder, but the holder does need to be externally adhered.
- In the case of LED stars, optic holders have four legs that sit down into the grooves of the star board.
- Triple LED stars are built with three holes in the star board for the legs of the optic.
